The same formula that healed a "permanent" genetic condition built an AI automation agency. That is not a metaphor. It is not a motivational soundbite. It is what happened when I took the four steps I discovered through years of research into neuroscience, epigenetics and psychoneuroimmunology and applied them to entrepreneurship.
This is the story of how the ADIE Formula, the framework at the heart of Perfect Inputs, Flawed Environment, became the operating system for building Chat Genius AI.
From hospital bed to business owner
If you have read the book or any of the other articles on this site, you already know the backstory. I was diagnosed with Juvenile Polyposis Syndrome caused by an SMAD4 gene mutation. Doctors told me the condition was genetic and permanent. The best I could hope for was management. At 3:17 a.m. one night, sitting in a hospital bed after yet another procedure, a question formed that would not leave me alone: if this is purely genetic, why do people with the exact same mutation have completely different outcomes?
That question sent me down a path of research that eventually became the ADIE Formula: Awareness, Disruption, Installation, Embodiment. Four steps for consciously changing the internal environment that determines which genetic programmes are expressed.
The formula worked. The condition that was supposed to be permanent changed. But something else happened that I did not expect. Once I had healed, I began to see the same pattern everywhere. Not just in health. In relationships. In purpose. And crucially, in business and abundance.
The question shifted: if consciousness can influence gene expression, what else can it reshape?
Starting Chat Genius AI
Chat Genius AI is an AI automation agency that helps businesses respond to leads in 2 seconds, book 7 out of 10 appointments and recover lost revenue. On the surface, it is a technology business. Beneath the surface, it was born from the same principle that healed a genetic condition.
Here is what I noticed: most businesses run on autopilot. They react to problems instead of designing solutions. They repeat the same cycles of feast and famine, overwhelm and stagnation, growth followed by burnout. Sound familiar? It should. Because these are not business problems. They are subconscious programmes.
Just as the human body has subconscious patterns that run without conscious intervention, businesses have them too. "We have always done it this way." "I cannot afford to invest right now." "Growth means working harder." "I need to be involved in everything." These are not strategic decisions. They are identity-level programmes running in the background, shaping every choice the business owner makes.
I recognised these patterns because I had already learned to see them in my own biology. The language is different, but the mechanism is identical. And if the mechanism is identical, the solution is the same.
Applying the ADIE Formula to business
The ADIE Formula is not a productivity hack or a business strategy. It is a transformation framework that works at the level of identity. When I built Chat Genius AI, I did not just apply it to my clients' businesses. I applied it to myself as a business owner. Here is how each step translated.
Awareness in business
The first step is always the same: you have to see the pattern before you can change it. In health, this meant recognising the subconscious programmes that were expressing disease. In business, it meant recognising the patterns keeping me stuck.
Most business owners cycle through the same three to five limiting patterns without ever becoming conscious of them. Undercharging because they do not believe their work is worth more. Overworking because they equate effort with value. Avoiding sales conversations because rejection feels personal. Perfectionism before launching because they fear judgment. Waiting for permission from some external authority before taking the next step.
For me, the pattern was clear once I looked: I was doing everything myself. Every client conversation, every technical build, every piece of content, every follow-up. I was the business. And as long as that was my identity, the business could only grow to the limits of my personal capacity. I was the bottleneck, and I could not see it until I applied the same awareness practice I had used to identify my health programmes.
Disruption in business
Awareness alone changes nothing. You have to disrupt the pattern. In the book, I describe disruption as the process of breaking the autopilot, creating a gap between the stimulus and the habitual response so that a new response becomes possible.
For Chat Genius AI, disruption took several forms. The first was technological: replacing manual lead follow-up with AI agents that respond in 2 seconds. This was not just an efficiency improvement. It was a direct disruption of the "I will get to it later" pattern that costs most businesses thousands of pounds in missed opportunities every month.
The second disruption was automating the booking process. Most service businesses live in a feast-or-famine cycle because their pipeline depends on one person remembering to follow up. Automating that process broke the cycle at the root.
The third, and most difficult, disruption was removing myself from every conversation. As long as I was personally handling every lead, every onboarding call, every support request, the business was just a job with extra stress. I had to disrupt the "I am the business" identity. That meant building systems that could operate without me, even when every instinct said I needed to stay involved.
Installation in business
Once you have disrupted the old pattern, you need to install the new one. In the health context, installation meant creating new neural pathways through specific mental, emotional and physical practices. In business, installation meant programming new systems and, more importantly, programming a new identity.
Installing AI automation into client businesses was the technological parallel to neural reprogramming. An AI agent that responds to every lead within 2 seconds is, in a very real sense, a new programme running in the background of the business. It replaces the old programme ("leads sit in the inbox until someone gets to them") with a new one ("every lead receives an immediate, intelligent response").
But the deeper installation was personal. I had to install a new identity: from freelancer to business owner. From technician to strategist. From the person who does the work to the person who designs the systems that do the work. This required daily practice. Visualising the business running without me. Creating SOPs, systems and processes that embodied the new way of operating. Making decisions from the identity of the person I was becoming, not the person I had been.
Chapter 13 of the book covers this in depth when it comes to abundance. The principle is the same: you do not install wealth by chasing money. You install it by becoming the person who naturally creates and attracts it. In business terms, you do not install growth by working harder. You install it by becoming the leader whose systems create growth automatically.
You do not wait for external reality to change before you change. You change first, and reality follows.
Embodiment in business
Embodiment is the step most people skip, and it is the reason most transformations do not last. Embodiment means living as the person you are becoming, not waiting for the results before you adopt the identity. In health, this meant living as a healthy person before the symptoms had fully resolved. In business, it means operating as a CEO before the revenue justifies the title.
For me, embodiment looked like this: making decisions as a CEO, not an operator. Pricing based on the value delivered, not the hours worked. Saying no to projects that did not align with the direction of the business, even when the money was tempting. Showing up on camera. Writing and publishing the book. Building the Forever Blessed Always brand as the next evolution. Not waiting for the business to be "ready" before acting like a leader.
This is the hardest step because it requires you to act in contradiction to your current reality. Your bank account says you are still figuring things out, but your behaviour says you are already the person who has figured it out. That tension is not a sign that something is wrong. It is the mechanism through which transformation occurs.
The formula is not linear but cyclical. As you embody your new identity, you become aware of deeper layers of programming.
The results
When you apply the ADIE Formula to business, the results show up in measurable outcomes. For Chat Genius AI and its clients, those results include:
- AI chatbots that respond in 2 seconds while competitors take hours or even days to reply to the same enquiry
- A 7 out of 10 appointment booking rate from inbound leads, compared to the industry average where most leads are never contacted at all
- Recovering £72,000+ in missed revenue for clients within 60 days by capturing leads that would otherwise have gone to a competitor
- Writing and publishing a book while running the business, because the systems allowed space for creation instead of constant firefighting
- Building the Forever Blessed Always brand as the next chapter, applying everything learned to helping others transform their own lives
None of these results came from working harder. They came from changing the internal programme first and allowing the external reality to follow.
What this means for you
Whether you are building a business, climbing a career ladder or creating something entirely new, the ADIE Formula applies. The mechanism does not change based on the domain. Subconscious programmes run your finances the same way they run your health. Identity-level beliefs shape your business decisions the same way they shape your biological expression.
Your business can only grow to the level of your identity. If you see yourself as a freelancer, your business will have a freelancer's ceiling. If you see yourself as someone who is "not good with money," your revenue will reflect that belief. If your deepest programme says "growth means burnout," you will unconsciously sabotage every opportunity that threatens to take you beyond your current capacity.
Raise the identity, raise the business. Change the internal programme, change the external result. This is not positive thinking. It is the same neuroscience and epigenetics that changed gene expression applied to a different domain.
Chapter 13 of Perfect Inputs, Flawed Environment covers applying the ADIE Formula specifically to abundance. It walks through the subconscious money programmes most people carry from childhood, the biological stress response that keeps you locked in scarcity and the exact process for installing a new financial identity.
